“The purpose of School Council is, through the active participation of parents, to improve pupil achievement and to enhance the accountability of the education system to parents”
– Ontario Regulation 612/00 of the Education Act
What do we do?
Huntley Centennial Parent Council provides a forum for all parents/guardians to be involved in their children’s school. Parents/guardians are an integral part of their children’s education and are always welcomed into the school.
All parents, volunteers, and community members are welcome!
Joining parent council provides you with an opportunity to interact with the school administration (principal/vice principal) and staff, by advising on matters important to your child’s education and hearing what is happening at the school and board level.
Parent Council meetings are held regularly throughout the school year. See the home page for the next meeting date.
There are many opportunities for parents to have direct or indirect involvement. Check out the Volunteer tab to learn more! We invite the community to teach us, to learn with us, and to embrace this school by visiting frequently and becoming meaningfully involved.
Our annual reports summarize the work we have done during the past year.
