On the evening of Wednesday, March 11th, from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m., our intermediates welcome the community to our annual education and fundraiser event. Our theme is “Food for All” and focuses on the importance of the environment and agriculture in feeding the world. This year the money we raise will help build school gardens and break the cycle of poverty in our adopted villages in Ecuador and Nicaragua.
Entry to the event is free and there will be items and food available for purchase. We invite our community to pop in for a few minutes or stay for the evening… we would love to host you!
There will be beautiful student art and fabulous student performances. Guests will have the opportunity to purchase items from ‘backyard baking’, our ‘cantina’ that features free trade coffee, tea and hot chocolate and the much anticipated return of our ‘international food tent’. Guests will also have a chance to plant their own kitchen herb garden with herbs grown from seed by our student farmers. Add a world market, excellent silent auction, alpaca photo booth (sorry, not a real alpaca) and tons of information booths including an eco-booth, and you’ve got a full evening.
We welcome our families with children of all ages to support our event by joining us at this incredible celebration of arts and global awareness.
