On Saturday, January 21st from 12pm – 4:30pm, the Huntley Community Association will host two hockey teams comprised of former Major Junior, Junior B, ECHL and European Professional players on the outdoor ice at Carp, for an exhibition game. Kids and parents alike are encouraged to come out and watch these highly skilled players. We will have a BBQ, and the canteen will be open for hot chocolate and coffee etc.
After the exhibition game, kids will be invited onto the ice to “Shinny with the Big Boys!”. Shinny teams will be a combination of kids and Big Boys, organized by age and skill level.
Through the generosity of the local community and businesses, we have received donations of gently used hockey equipment. If your child would like to participate but lacks equipment, please contact Will Rado (will.rado@gmail.com), or watch online (Twitter: @HCACarp; Facebook: Huntley Community Association) for information about our upcoming equipment fitting session.
This event is free, however those attending are asked to please donate non-perishable food items for the West Carleton Food Access Centre.
