Fresh from the Farm Fundraiser

FFTFLogoWe are excited to run the Fresh from the Farm fundraiser for a second year.  Students will have the opportunity to sell Ontario-grown fruits and vegetables to our local school community, supporting our parent council and Ontario farmers.

Order forms will be sent home and, are also available here for downloading: Fresh from the Farm 2018

Orders are due by October 5.
Please make cheques payable to Huntley Centennial Parent Council.

We will need volunteers to sort and package the produce on delivery day, which will be sometime between early November and mid-December. We will have ten days notice once our date has been picked.

If you’d like more information, if you’d consider volunteering, or if you’d like to donate a bundle to the West Carleton Food Access Centre, please contact healthyhuntley@gmail.com.
Last year, we donated about 100 pounds of produce!

Kindly,

On Friday June 9th (PD day), Parent Council are arranging to have a catered lunch brought in to the school for all the staff.

If you would like to make a monetary donation towards the staff appreciation lunch,  please either use the “donate” button on our website  or send your donation with your child to the school in an envelope or bag marked “Parent Council Lunch”.

We also need some volunteers to help with the lunch set-up and clean-up. We would really appreciate any help at all!

If you are able to volunteer, or if you have any questions or comments, please email Creannpieroni@yahoo.com

Huntley Arts Festival – Date Correction – Thursday 4th May

The Huntley Centennial Arts Festival is scheduled for Thursday May 4th, 6pm-8pm, and will be taking place in the school gym and hallways.

As in past years, there will be a canteen offering beverages as well as a bake sale table.  If you are interested in providing baked treats (batch of cookies, squares or other snacks) for the arts festival, or helping with clean up after, please email Heather at  heatheradeney@gmail.com.  Baked goods must be peanut free, wrapped for individual sale, and dropped off at the school by Friday before the festival.

We are also looking for a teenaged volunteer or two to man the bake sale table. It’s a good chance for some volunteer hours, and you might get some cookies too!

Thanks and we look forward to all the wonderful exhibits!

Christmas Bazaar Fundraiser – Thank you!

The 2016 Christmas Bazaar was a huge success! Huntley students enjoyed a fun day of shopping and many enjoyed treats from the bake sale which was very successful.  We also had some very lucky students who won some fantastic prizes through our raffle.

The committee would like to say a big thank you to Anita Gibbons who helped organize the event as well as all of our amazing parents and guardians who donated a huge amount of high quality goods for us to sell.  We are also very grateful to everyone who volunteered their time and donated baked goods.  Finally we would like to say a big thank you to all of our sponsors who generously donated raffle prizes.

The total amount raised for HCPS Parent-Council this year is $4,145!

A list of our sponsors and donors is below:
